I got a warning from LinkedIn, what should I do now?
If you received a warning from LinkedIn or got logged out, keep calm. There are several ways to prevent this from happening again and secure your account.
What to do?
The first thing you MUST do is give Scrab.in a rest for a couple of days and refrain from sending messages or connection requests.
If your account gets restricted, it is better to contact the LinkedIn support team directly and they will provide you with more information on when the restriction will be lifted, as well as provide your identity. When contacting LinkedIn support, we suggest you let them do the talking and not to mention you are using Scrab.in at all. As we always say, using scrab.in responsibly will not produce any restriction.
How to avoid it?
After your Scrab.in account has had a break for a couple of days, it’s time to get back to LinkedIn and re-consider your strategy. It’s important to change your daily limits. Here are our recommended steps:
Set your Scrab.in Throttling settings to the lowest possible. To access these settings, navigate to Options and click on the Throttling tab. Here you will be able to change the following options:
o Set the Robot speed for visiting 50 profiles max.
o Daily visits should be set to no more than 50–100 profiles a day and connection requests to no more than 25 a day.
Leave these low mode settings for a few weeks and monitor your account. As you’re on the slowest settings possible, your account should not get in trouble.
Do not use LinkedIn while Scrab.in is working. LinkedIn tracks your activity on the page and your clicks, so if you are browsing on LinkedIn while Scrab.in is running, you can get into trouble. Let Scrab.in complete the work before jumping on LinkedIn and it will minimise the risk of you being logged out.
Set up the limit on your daily visit. One of the ways to make Scrab.in work look more natural to LinkedIn is to set up a limit on your daily actions. The limit lets you select how many automations you can do when Scrab.in is running. To find and set the limit, go to your browser and click on the Scrab.in icon on the top right hand side.
It will open a drop-down menu where you have to choose “Limit” at the daily visits option.
Remember again, you have to start using Scrab.in gradually. We recommend you to have at least 500 connections in order to start using Scrab.in functions normally.
